The largest Áú»¢¶Ä²© event of the year, Áú»¢¶Ä²© Conference 2014 is behind us, and we would like to thank all of the participants - IT experts, developers, technical leaders, Áú»¢¶Ä²© users, community members and of course, our sponsors, for gathering together with us.
The central theme of the conference was scaling and high performance monitoring, including topics such as high-performance monitoring, scalability, performance tuning, distributed monitoring, proxy and large-scale installations.

On the first ¡°non-official¡± day of the Áú»¢¶Ä²© Conference, upon already established tradition, we gathered together to meet old friends and make new ones and most importantly to party hard - Hard Rock style! We enjoyed some good music, drinks, a variety of delicious snacks and most importantly each other¡¯s company, and a fiery entertainment program prepared by the Áú»¢¶Ä²© Team.

We are proud that this year our conference gathered a record braking number of almost 200 participants. On the first day of the conference we welcomed eleven guest speakers, sharing their experience, case studies, best practices and multiple ways of enhancing the use of Áú»¢¶Ä²© on the central theme of this year¡¯s conference: scaling and high performance monitoring. The discussions on the exciting themes of the conference never stopped even during the coffee and lunch breaks.

After the first official day of the conference we gathered together in the heart of Old Riga and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere offered by Gutenbergs Hotel rooftop patio (or in other words - time to finally cash in those beer tokens!) We spent the evening getting to know each other better, listening to the soothing voice of the jazz singer Ieva Ker¨¥vica, participating in feature voting and charity auction.

On the second day of the conference our attendees were just as eager and were ready for another session of interesting topics, despite the Áú»¢¶Ä²© conference party in the heart of the city that carried on late into the night. This day featured more inspiring speaches and presentations from the speakers of the conference and Q & A session with the Áú»¢¶Ä²© team.

On the last evening of the conference we invited our registered conference delegates to join us for a trip to one of the most strategically important places of the Soviet Latvia declassified only in 2003 - a well-preserved and still fully functional Soviet bunker, located 9 meters underground and built for the needs of state authority elite of the 1980¡¯s in the case of a nuclear war. Together we explored the feeling of the cold war era, a place where time has stood still for more than 20 years. Luckily after a very informative and entertaining tour we had a chance to warm ourselves up, enjoying a nourishing dinner in the Soviet style concluding this year¡¯s Áú»¢¶Ä²© Conference 2014!
